Rabid Fox Reported in the Area – June 7, 2026
Residents are advised to use extra caution after reports of a rabid fox in the area. According to local reports, the animal was involved in an attack on both a person and a dog.
If you see a fox or any wild animal behaving unusually—such as showing little fear of people, appearing disoriented, acting aggressively, or wandering during daylight hours—do not approach it. Move to a safe location and call 911 or your local Animal Control office.
As a precaution, please supervise children and pets whenever they are outside, and avoid leaving pets unattended outdoors until the situation has been resolved. This may also be a good opportunity to remind children not to approach or attempt to feed any wild animals, even if they appear friendly or injured.
Please share any official updates from local authorities with the community.
