What are the benefits of becoming a PWCA member?
By becoming a member of PWCA, you will have access to the following benefits:
- Member Directory – PWCA produces a biannual community directory containing names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses (for those who consented) for the 400+ homes in our neighborhood. The useful resource also contains a list of frequently used numbers, a map of the community, a list of recommended service providers, and the PWCA bylaws.
- Community Events – PWCA sponsors seven community events for members each year (e.g., Pizza/Bingo Night, Labor Day Picnic).
- Neighborhood Website – PWCA maintains a website to keep members informed of the latest community news, issues, events, and services.
- Common Area Landscaping – PWCA spends a portion of the yearly budget on landscaping of the most visible common areas in Potomac Woods. The landscaping effort plays a big part in making our community look good for everyone.
- Listserv Emails – For those that decide to participate, PWCA maintains an email listserv to send out important messages to members.
- Involvement in Your Community – PWCA offers you a chance to get involved in your community and to get to know your fellow neighbors through all of our social activities and goodwill/charity efforts.
How do I pay my PWCA membership dues?
To become a member or renew your membership, please fill out the PWCA Membership Form, enclose a check for $35 made out to “Potomac Woods Citizens Association”, and mail to the following address:

When is the recycling and trash pickup?
Trash and recyclables are collected from our neighborhood by the City of Rockville once-per-week on Monday. Refuse is collected at the curb in the City-provided gray refuse cart and recyclables are collected at the curb in the City-provided brown recyclables cart and they must be out by 6 a.m on Monday in order to guarantee pickup.
